Texas Transportation Guardians LLC is a Texas-based consulting company firm focused exclusively on helping school districts improve student transportation systems. Our CEO

Dr. Jason R. Dunkelberger, EDD is a licensed educator, retired veteran, and published author. Dr. Dunkelberger earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Liberty University, and two Master’s Degrees in Business and Marketing at the University of the Southwest. Dr. Dunkelberger honorably served in the United States Military and retired highly decorate with an honorable discharge. As a commissioned officer, Dr. Dunkelberger specialized in multifunctional logistics, served in special operations, and led in multiple combat operations and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions.

Dr. Dunkelberger has served as a licensed educator in the State of Texas at multiple campus levels as a teacher, coach, administrator and director. Dr. Dunkelberger specializes in student transportation, safety, and student discipline.

Dr. Dunkelberger is an executive member of the Region 11 Texas Associated of Pupil Transportation. Dr. Dunkelberger has led training conferences in Region 11 & Region 9 providing student transportation operations training to bus drivers, dispatchers, routers, managers, supervisors, coordinators, and directors across North Texas, receiving exemplary reviews for his provision of critical content and key discussions.

Dr. Dunkelberger is commercially licensed driver, has completed his Texas Education Agency Safety Certification and continues to transport students. Dr. Dunkelberger published “Only on the Bus School Bus Tales in Folklore” in 2024, a heartwarming and humorous glimpse into the world of Student Transportation.

Fleet Operations & Modernization - We provide an in-depth, data-driven fleet assessment to determine how you can conduct shop operations more efficiently and safely. We aim to develop practices that will increase fuel efficiently, reduce safety hazards, and ensure your mechanics are being good stewards of your allocated funds. We have extensive experience in electric solutions including grant opportunities, current EV school bus options, and re-charging infrastructure. Finally, we can collaborate with local venders to provide you with the best school buses for your fleet replacement plan.

Training and Development - We provide targeted training for an array of transportation professionals. We can teach, coach, and mentor transportation directors, coordinators, supervisors, and managers on human capital management techniques, recruiting and retention practices, scheduling, student discipline, and emergency operations. We can primarily focus on your routing, dispatching, and training staff to hone their skills, develop new practices, and align your department to work more efficiently together. We provide department training opportunities at your school district and across the metroplex to give your entire department the opportunity to learn, network, and collaborate with other transportation professionals.

Grant Support - We can assist with recommending grant opportunities when they are available. We will assist your school district in collecting the necessary grant requirements to submit your grant application. We can provide instructions how to apply when the grant application process opens. Most importantly, we can guide you through the entire process and ensure you remain in compliance with the grant requirements to preserve your ability to apply for grants in the future.
